Minimalism

Let’s get organized.

If you’re like me, the first time you heard “minimalism” you think, no way, not me. I need my stuff! If you close your eyes and think of your ideal home, what does it look like? How does it feel? Does it feel cozy and warm? Does it have piles of paperwork in every possible nook and cranny? Are there boxes and clothes and bags and shoes strewn all over? Are there plates, bowls and cups on side tables? A random fork under the bed? If your answer is no, then why are you allowing that in your space.

The nuts and bolts

When I was younger, my stuff would randomly disappear. Suddenly, dolls I played with were gone, or a random book I loved was no longer there. Sometimes my items were sold right in front of me, like my light pink bike with the white banana seat. Or my Babysitter Club books that my mom insisted I no longer needed. I loved the bike, and as I watched another little girl ride it out of our driveway, I believe that’s when I started hoarding stuff.

I had to keep everything, because everything meant something. All of it was important. And as I started to get older, this started to become a problem. I had so. much. stuff. After reading, “Happy This Year,” I started to realize all of the stuff we have and take for granted.

I'm interested in self-help, chakras, essential oils (DoTerra) and just trying to help people in anyway I can. This was initially a weight loss blog and turned into an adventure about my infertility, miscarriages and my rainbow baby. We took quite the detour, but now is the time to focus on my health. I love talking about shame and trauma and I'd love to help you work on your best self. Please email me with questions or DM on IG. IG: Youhaveaprettyface_ Twinbody: Youhaveaprettyface
